was just wondering why do mosquitoes bite come people more than the others? unfair, isnt it? but if you wear light clothing, keep still and are relatively small, you are less likely to be bitten. LOL. mosquitos are attracted visually by colours, shape and movement, and also by the CO2 we emit. if you are in a field, for instance, mosquitos will likely first to be attracted visually. if you're deep in the forest, where their vision is limited, its the CO2 that will lure them.
obviously the bigger you are, the more of a visual target you present and the more CO2 you emit, like duh. haha. so men usually get bitten more than women :D but then agn, if you fidget and try to swat the mosquitoes, you'll give off more CO2 and perspiration, luring the little pests.
interestingly, only female mosquitoes bite. they need the proteins found in our blood in order to produce eggs which they cant produce by themselves :// some "specialised" mosquitoes bite only cold blooded reptiles like frogs, alligators or snakes.
perhaps the best advice abt mosquitos is that when you are given an outdoor party/picnic, be sure to invite large man wearing dark clothes and who fidgets alot! heh. thus leaving you and the others relatively unscathed :D
