1. I WILL REVISE AND NOT PROCRASTINATE 2. I WILL HAVE (AND USE) THE RIGHT BOOKS. not just the right textbooks, but other books as well. a must for every serious student is the dict,in both english and your second lang. wipe the dust off that copy on the bookshelf and you may just do away wit simple spelling errors that could have cost some precious marks. discover the meanings of cheem words, and better your gasp of the lang in the process. believe me,tchers hate the word "nice" and dont just use "interesting", use "appealing", "fascinating" or "intriguing". replaced boring overused words wit impressive ones that offer more detail and specification to your sentences. but b4 dropping your newfound cheem vocab everywhere wit careless aplomb,be aware that diff words wit similar meanings do not necessarily mean the same thing. if you still think taking notes is a waste of time, give it a wholehearted try anw; you'll realise that you can stay focused and understand better. oh and try not to sit next to chatty pals or that hot guy who can be way too distracting! HAHA :D well, all the best k guys! i know that some of you are quite disappointed/depressed wit your results for the mid years, but wadever it is, its over. and now all that you can do, is to perform well for the prelims and Os! KEEP GOING! :D
start the slow but steady race NOW - not two weeks before your exams. trust me,studying will be whole lot easier and enjoyable this way. no matter what you think, this isn't kiasu-ism, but responsibility and consistency. well, better than kissing your A's goodbye!
things tend to get stuck in a rut from time to time,so when boredom kicks in,take a short break. but this doesnt mean settling cosily for an episode of stairways to heaven (HAHAHA) when you take a breather! the key is to stay focused and motivated enuff to draw a to-do-list and make sure you complete all of them before calling it a day.
